Today, Friday, the Federal Ministry of Electricity confirmed that it has recorded great stability in the energy system and an increase in the volume of production, while pointing out that it is waiting for an increase in Iranian gas flows to introduce new generating capacities to the system.
The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said that "there is great stability in the system, and there is an increase in the volume of production compared to last year, up to 22%, and the ministry is continuing to increase production capacities and strengthen the distribution sector."
He stressed, "The lack of budget approval has had a significant impact on the ministry's projects, as the Ministry of Electricity cannot operate without budgets, in addition to the need for a fuel plan."
He continued, "The gas releases amounted to about 43 million cubic meters, and the actual need at this time is from 55-60 million cubic meters," noting that "the ministry's negotiations and meetings are continuing with the Iranian side and in coordination with the Ministry of Oil to organize fuel releases for the benefit of operating the stations, especially We are about to introduce new generating energies into the system.”
