    Mubasher: The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Mukhif, received the Minister of Environment, Jassem Al-Falahi.

    During the meeting, according to a statement issued by the Central Bank of Iraq, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Central Bank and the Ministry of Environment, and the tireless efforts made by the Central Bank's administration in the direction of the green economy.
    During the meeting, the Governor of the Central Bank noted the efforts of the Ministry of Environment in highlighting the risks and effects of climate change. With the aim of changing the behavior of individuals and institutions with regard to addressing the phenomenon of desertification and water shortage, and dealing with it, and the adoption of renewable energy instead of traditional means.
    For his part, the Minister of Environment praised the efforts of the Central Bank of Iraq to support the interests of the state and the Ministry of Environment in the issues of addressing desertification and the adoption of electricity generation units from renewable energy and the subsequent steps of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Ministry of Environment, and the rest of the state institutions in addressing this phenomenon that casts a shadow on the The future of Earth and humanity.
    It is noteworthy that the Central Bank of Iraq allocated 1 trillion dinars for renewable energy as part of its development initiatives, as well as organizing, in cooperation with the ministries of environment, agriculture and water resources, the Association of Iraqi Private Banks and the private sector, an important specialized workshop on climate change, desertification and national security.

    BAGHDAD - The 
    Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Mikhaif, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Minister of Environment Jassem Al-Falahi, aspects of bilateral cooperation and efforts to go towards a green economy.
