The Democrats and Sovereignty inform the Coordinator: We will not go with any government without the approval of Al-Sadr
Shafaq News/ Informed political sources confirmed today, Monday, that the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Sovereignty Alliance informed the coordination framework that they will not go with the formation of any government without the approval of the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr.
The sources told Shafaq News Agency, "The position of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the recent sovereignty alliance does not mean abandoning coordination with the Sadrist movement, and the two parties informed the coordination framework that they will not go with the formation of any government without the approval of the movement's leader Muqtada al-Sadr."
And she indicated that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Alliance of Sovereignty will not be with the coordinating framework against the Sadrist movement at all, but rather they will work to bring the views between the current and the framework, and if they do not succeed in this, they will not be with the framework against the current, and they will not go to form the government with the presence of the Sadrists' opposition to it." ".
And yesterday, Sunday, Nuri al-Maliki, (the most prominent leaders of the coordination framework), called for leaving the issue of dissolving parliament, and devoting efforts on how to activate it, and how to speed up the formation of a (coalition) government.
This comes in the wake of the Federal Supreme Court’s announcement, rejecting the case for dissolving the Iraqi Council of Representatives, because the matter is not within its jurisdiction, but rather within the jurisdiction of the Council of Representatives itself or the presidents of the republic and government.
And on Sunday, Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani received the two leaders of Sovereignty, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and Khamis al-Khanjar, to discuss the political situation in Iraq.
They confirmed, according to a statement by Barzani's headquarters, received by Shafak News Agency; On the need to adopt the language of constructive dialogue to overcome differences and reach solutions that are in the interest of the Iraqi people and to follow constitutional and legal methods to overcome the repercussions of the current stage.
The statement added that the two parties stressed the importance of holding early elections after preparing the legal requirements and their requirements in accordance with the constitutional mechanisms, preceded by the formation of a government that enjoys full authority and enjoys the confidence and reassurance of everyone with an agreed government program, emphasizing the need for the House of Representatives to continue its work until the election date.
