    Alsumaria News publishes the constitutional stages for electing the President of the Republic and assigning the candidate of the most numerous parliamentary bloc to form the Council of Ministers, coinciding with the secret vote in the House of Representatives to choose the President of the Republic.


    Below are the constitutional stages for electing the President of the Republic and assigning the candidate of the most numerous parliamentary bloc to form[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]:

    ▪ Article (70)

    First: to elect[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2433908045/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8/ar/]Parliament[/url]Among the candidates for the President of the Republic by a two-thirds majority of the number of its members.






    Second: If none of the candidates obtains the required majority, competition will take place among the candidates who obtain the highest votes, and whoever obtains the majority of votes in the second ballot is declared president.

    The President of the Republic takes the constitutional oath before[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2433908045/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8/ar/]Parliament[/url]As stipulated in Article 50 of the Constitution.



    First: Assigns the President of the Republic, the candidate of the most numerous parliamentary bloc, to form[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]within fifteen days from the date of the election of the President of the Republic.

    Second: The head of the[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]The taxpayer shall nominate the members of his ministry within a maximum period of thirty days from the date of the assignment.

    Third: The President of the Republic appoints a new candidate for the presidency[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]Within fifteen days, upon failure of a principal[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]The person in charge of forming the ministry during the period stipulated in item “Second” of this article.

    Fourth: Presents the head[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1122135457/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1/ar/]Council of Ministers[/url]In charge of the names of the members of his ministry, and the ministerial curriculum, on[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2433908045/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8/ar/]Parliament[/url]And he is considered to have gained its confidence, when approving the ministers individually, and the ministerial curriculum, by an absolute majority.

    Fifth: The President of the Republic assigns another candidate to form the ministry within fifteen days in case the ministry does not gain confidence.
