In cooperation with countries, including Britain, the opening of two projects for the production of smart meters in Iraq
Shafaq News/ The opening ceremony of two projects in Diyala State Company for the production of smart meters with Iraqi, Saudi, Jordanian and British cooperation took place in Jordan, according to what the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Wealth announced in a statement today, Saturday.
In its statement, the ministry stated that "on behalf of the Minister of Industry and Minerals Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz, the scientific advisor to the ministry, Ammar Abdullah Hamad, participated in the celebration held at the home of the British ambassador in Jordan, which was related to the inauguration of two projects for the production of smart meters in the Diyala State Company affiliated with the ministry, with a production capacity of (200)". One thousand smart scales and (100) thousand electronic scales annually and in industrial cooperation with the electronics factory in the Saudi Basic Electronics Company, the British Kigg Company and the British Jordanian Company for Electrical Industries, and in the presence of a large number of ambassadors, ministerial agents and businessmen from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Britain.
The statement quoted the consultant as confirming, in his speech during the celebration, the support of the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals for modern projects that operate with advanced technology and its quest to attract and implement these projects in Iraq, and the ministry’s readiness to provide all facilities for the success of the work of these projects, noting that this achievement represents the first foundations of cooperation and joint work from In order to build an Iraqi industry with advanced technology.
The celebration included the signing of a cooperation protocol by the Director General of Diyala State Company, the Basic Saudi Electronics Company and the British Jordanian Company to achieve industrial integration, support production and transfer modern technology, according to the statement.
