The Federal Integrity Commission reported that it had carried out four seizures for overpricing and violations in one of the endowments offices in Diyala Governorate, indicating that the total amounts of which amounted to nearly one and a half billion dinars.
The Investigation Department stated to the commission in a statement that "the work team composed of the Diyala Investigation Office, which moved to the Engineering Affairs Department in one of the endowments offices in the governorate, was able, after investigation and audit, to reveal an exaggeration in the prices of constructing (25) iron minarets in the governorate's mosques affiliated to the Diwan. As an amount (1,391,500,000) billion dinars was spent for the purpose of its establishment, in addition to its violation of technical specifications.
The department added that "the team carried out two separate operations in Diyala and Baghdad, in the first of which it seized the original exchange document in the Endowment Investment Authority in the governorate after it disbursed an amount of (14,375,000) million dinars; to distribute a food basket to families, in violation of the law, while the other operation that was implemented In Baghdad, the origin of the advance settlement document for preparing (1,250) food baskets in the financial department of the Endowment Investment Commission was seized and not delivered to the deserving of the needy families.
She explained that "during the fourth operation, the origin of the priorities for disbursing the overtime amounts of the former director of the Endowment Funds Management and Investment Authority in Diyala was seized, pointing out that the Investment Management Authority disbursed the amount to the said director for the period of his dispatch outside Iraq, pointing to the control of the administrative orders for dispatch."
