Kurdistan Democratic Bloc in the Iraqi Parliament: Canceling the security audit is a major disaster
Shafaq News/ The Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Iraqi parliament described on Thursday the decision to cancel the security check for the displaced families as a "major disaster" and a waste of victims' rights.
The deputy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Vian Dakhil, said during a press conference she held at the parliament building, which was attended by Shafak News Agency correspondent; "Cancelling the security checks of citizens in the liberated areas is a major disaster, and everyone knows that terrorism was in all of Iraq, and unfortunately it was in specific areas, and this led to the collapse of a third of Iraq and the fall of provinces into the hands of terrorists."
Intruder added; "Everyone knows that many citizens in these areas were involved with terrorism, whether it was ISIS or others, and that I do not speak in the shadow of anyone at the same time, there were many innocent people in those areas, but the issue of security scrutiny is very important and exists in all countries of the world and how to cancel it in a country like Iraq played terrorism in it and killed and kidnapped many."
And she continued, "What do we say, O Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to the families of the victims of terrorism and ISIS, and what do the thousands of Yazidis, the mass graves, the families of the Khasfa victims in Mosul, the Albu Nimr clans in Anbar, the people of Speicher, and the martyrs of the security forces were all victims of terrorism?"
and showed an intruder; "I am with the need for a security check and to speed it up so that the innocent are not taken away and it is not a subject of political blackmail and the increase of the elements working on the security check in order to take away the rights of the people."
Dakhil addressed her words to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, saying: "If the Prime Minister goes to visit America or European countries, a security check will be conducted and Al-Saifi, who is the Prime Minister, will be removed with a full security check in return for entering their territories."
She explained, "I do not speak as a Yazidi, but as an Iraqi MP. What happened to the Yazidis happened in Speicher, Mosul, and the central and southern regions. The people are innocent victims of terrorism, and the Prime Minister must reconsider and re-check the security."
On Wednesday, the Iraqi Defense Minister, Thabet Al-Abbasi, revealed to Shafaq News Agency, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, ordered the immediate abolition of the security check in the liberated areas."
On Thursday, December 26, 2019, the National Security Council, headed by former Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, decided to cancel the security check in the liberated governorates, but the decision was not fully activated.
The government and the security authorities followed up the scrutiny and security information in the governorates liberated from ISIS to sort out the wanted and terrorists, as well as to pay salaries to those who deserve it.
