The Finnish ambassador to Iraq, Matti Lasila, confirmed today, Wednesday, that his country will continue to support and train the Peshmerga forces, appreciating the role of the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani in the struggle and the contemporary history of the people of Kurdistan, as well as his role and the role of the Kurdistan Region and the Peshmerga forces in fighting terrorism and defeating ISIS terrorists.[/size]
[size=45]The Finnish diplomat's speech came during President Barzani's reception of him, at the Salah al-Din resort near Erbil. The Finnish ambassador thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government for its support and coordination in returning Finnish citizens from Syria.[/size]
