This week, the Iraqi Parliament will elect the heads and members of its parliamentary committees, while the Kurdistan Democratic Party is calling for the presidency of one of the sovereign committees.[/size]
[size=45]Amanj Harki, a deputy in the Iraqi parliament for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, said: “The Iraqi parliament is scheduled to elect its main committees this week, and among the sovereign committees consisting of (oil, security, legal, financial, and justice committees), the KDP demands the presidency of my committee Oil and finance, but the Shiite parties also demand the presidency of these committees, so it is expected that the Kurdistan Democrat will get the presidency of the Justice Committee, in addition to the position of deputy head of a number of other committees.[/size]
[size=45]He added, "The Kurdistan Democrat has the right to get the presidency of two of the sovereign committees, because he has a large number of seats in the Iraqi parliament."[/size]
