[size=45]The Ministry of the Interior is heading to hand over the security file in three governorates, and while the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces announced the killing of 5 terrorists in the Tal Afar district, the National Security Service spoke about the arrest of members of an information hacking network and the hacking of databases of government institutions in Dhi Qar.[/size]
[size=45]A statement of the Ministry of Interior, received by (Al-Mada), stated that “The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, held a meeting yesterday at the headquarters of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency, in the presence of intelligence directors in Baghdad and the provinces.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, "The meeting discussed a number of important issues and files, foremost of which are the ongoing preparations to take over the security file in the governorates of Diwaniyah, Wasit and Muthanna," which the observers describe as safe.[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out, “The Minister of Interior instructed the formation of an intelligence cell responsible for the security and intelligence of these governorates, and to cooperate with other security services in this field.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement pointed out, "Al-Shammari directed to review the plans and follow up the elements of the terrorist ISIS gangs, especially in the areas where security breaches occurred during the past days, and work to bring the criminals to justice and prompt retribution from them."[/size]
[size=45]And the statement went on, that "Al-Shammari praised the great efforts made by the Intelligence Agency, calling for additional efforts to be made in order to enhance security and stability in all regions of the country, and listened to a brief explanation of the most important duties and tasks carried out by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency and its affiliates."[/size]
[size=45]For his part, a statement issued by the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, received by (Al-Mada), stated that “the brave air hawks and army aviation carried out an air strike in the Tal Afar district within the Sheikh Ibrahim mountains.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, "The air strike took place at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and according to accurate information from the Counter-Terrorism Agency."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out, "The operation resulted, according to pre-emptive intelligence, in the killing of (5) terrorists, one of whom was a leader of the terrorist ISIS gangs."[/size]
[size=45]And the statement concluded, "The Counter-Terrorism Service pledges to the Iraqi people to continue operations against the elements of the cowardly terrorist gangs of ISIS, wherever they are."[/size]
[size=45]On a related note, a statement by the National Security Agency, received by (Al-Mada), stated that “accurate intelligence information has been received by the National Security Agency stating that there is a network of information piracy and the penetration of databases of government institutions in Dhi Qar Governorate.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, "Our apparatus's detachments, after obtaining judicial approvals, were able to arrest a member of the network, who was in possession of a computer containing a government database."[/size]
[size=45]And he pointed out, "The accused, by writing down his statements, confessed to his association with a hacking network that is communicated with through social media platforms."[/size]
[size=45]The statement went on to "refer the accused, along with the seized items, to the competent judicial authorities in order to take the necessary measures against him."[/size]
[size=45]In turn, a statement by the Security Media Cell stated, "The Diwaniyah Governorate Police Command's detachments, after collecting information from reliable sources, managed to arrest 3 suspects after identifying their whereabouts."[/size]
[size=45]The statement added, "The defendants were found in possession of a quantity of narcotic crystal, in addition to other tools used for abuse."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out, "The investigative authorities immediately investigated the defendants in order to take the necessary legal measures against them and refer them to the judiciary."[/size]
