    Baghdad-Iraq today:
While the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, in its second edition, did not witness a dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran, however, the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister, Ali Reza Enayati, confirmed that his country expressed its satisfaction with such dialogues, because he is the master of the situation.
Jordanian observers believe that the Iranian official's statements, on the sides of the conference, reflect a shift in his country's position on cooperation and partnership with Iraq, and not to impose influence that harms Iraq's interests and impedes the independence of its decision, in the light of the agreement of the participants in the conference to reject any external interference in Iraq's affairs.
Commenting on this matter, the former Jordanian ambassador, Ahmad Mubaideen, said that it was not possible to overlook the remarkable level of representation at the leadership level of most of the countries participating in the conference, which provides an idea of the importance of Iraq, and the desire for its return as an element of regional balance.
He added that the importance of representation in the conference lies in considering it as evidence of Iraq's return to exercising its traditional role, which has long been lost, especially since the statements of the Iranian assistant foreign minister are considered a turn to deal with the Iraqi file with a different view, supporting the independence of its decision, and strengthening its position as a regional power capable of playing a prominent role in regional changes, reunification and establishing dialogue.
Mobaideen pointed out the importance of dialogue between Riyadh and Tehran. As Iraq has previously held fruitful rounds of dialogue between the two sides, while the conference did not witness any meeting or dialogue at this level between them.
For his part, the Jordanian political analyst, Dr. Saddam Al-Hajjah, believes that Iran, through its participation in the conference, has tried to send several messages to the neighboring countries, the most important of which is that it has no reservations about the Jordanian presence and the new Levant project with the Iraqi side.
He added, "Tehran indicated that the Arab presence in Iraq, led by Jordan and Egypt, leads to the development of Iraq," explaining that despite these facts, the Baghdad conference was a remarkable step on the diplomatic level, which may yield positive results. In light of the external partnerships that represent a large part of the support for Baghdad, amid the many complex variables facing Iraq.
Al-Hajjajah said that many of the countries participating in the conference raised the issue of foreign interference in Iraqi affairs, and this is not intended for France, pointing out that Iran must respect international law and the United Nations Charter of Human Rights, and stop interfering in the affairs of neighboring countries.
He added that Tehran is well aware that achieving positive results in the dialogue with Riyadh constitutes a solid ground for restoring Iran's relationship with the international community and regional capitals, and allows it to be used as a card of strength at the negotiating table with the " international six", especially Washington on the nuclear file.
In this context, the Jordanian professor of political science, Dr. Hani Al-Sarhan, confirmed that Tehran seeks to achieve a breach in the line of relations with the Gulf countries, and to move the dialogue with Saudi Arabia to the stage of normalizing the relationship and restoring it to its previous era, and betting on holding a sixth round that sets the closing point for the five dialogue sessions that took place. Hosted by Iraq between the two parties.
He pointed out that the file of regional relations currently tops the list of Tehran's priorities, specifically the relationship with the Gulf countries in general, and with Saudi Arabia in particular, explaining that this priority emerges through the interest that its Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian attaches to This relationship, who does not leave an opportunity or opportunity without exploiting it to confirm the necessity Breaking the ice and demolishing the wall of mistrust between Tehran and these countries, in contrast to the strategy of the regime and the executive authority that puts the relationship with the southern and northern neighborhood of Turkey, passing through the Caucasus region, reaching Russia and passing through Central Asia at the forefront of its interests,As a clear translation of the policy of opening up to the east and considering it a mechanism that allows the regime to circumvent international sanctions and establish a new strategic alliance at the international level with Russia and China.
He pointed out that Iraq wants to solve the crisis of Iranian and Turkish external interference through dialogue, and that Baghdad is seeking in this direction, adding that there are indeed problems, but there is a priority for joint action.
