    After early elections were held in Iraq and the political situation deteriorated to the point of impasse, the strenuous efforts of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and its president, Pavel Jalal Talabani, resulted in bringing the political forces closer together, preventing the situation in Iraq from slipping into a state of instability and chaos, and thus forming a government with the participation of all parties. And the preservation of the rights of the Kurds in it.

     In this regard, Rabha Hamad, the official of the Baghdad Organizations Center of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, said in a statement to the official website of the Patriotic Union, PUKMEDIA: “After the bad conditions that the political process in Iraq went through following the elections, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan had an active role in bringing the Iraqi political parties closer together and preventing them from being drawn into Iraq into a state of political chaos.
    A member of the leadership council of the Patriotic Union added: “With the efforts of President Pavel Jalal Talabani, the Iraqi political parties were able to reach an agreement on forming a national service government, so all parties participating in the government highly evaluate the role of the Patriotic Union and its president, especially Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, who is aware of Well, the recognized role of the Union in forming the government," explaining, "The demands of the Patriotic Union are the demands of the people of Kurdistan, so they are taken into consideration by the Iraqi government, and the government's work program includes the interests of the Kurdish people and all Iraqis."

    For his part, Rond Saber, a member of the Relations Office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, told PUKMEDIA: "President Pavel had an active and influential role in forming the new Iraqi government, as he announced from the outset that the Patriotic Union supports the formation of a strong national government that provides services to citizens and guarantees the protection of the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region." He added, "President Pavel Jalal Talabani, with his wisdom and political acumen, was able to reunite the various Iraqi forces in the house of President Mam Jalal, who has always been an umbrella for the political parties, where they agreed there to formulate a national project to form the government, which kept the weight and the prominent political position of the Patriotic Union in Baghdad".
    Saber added, "All Iraqi political forces realize that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan was able to save Iraq from a deep political crisis, so they look with appreciation at the political efforts of President Pavel Jalal Talabani."
    A member of the Relations Office confirms that "the efforts of the President of the National Union are focused on implementing the decisions and items contained in the government's work program, so he makes frequent visits to the capital, Baghdad, to follow up on the implementation of the government program, especially the paragraphs related to the rights of the Kurdistan Region." It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani reassured President Pavel Jalal Talabani, during their meeting in Baghdad recently, that the financial entitlements of the Kurdistan Region are safeguarded and the amount of 400 billion dinars will be sent to the region as soon as possible. Basic and important in the government, and with the support of the Patriotic Union, we will be in the service of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole.
