Representative Muhammad Al-Shammari confirmed, today, Thursday, that the reason for the delay in approving the budget is the delay in the government sending the budget to the House of Representatives, stressing that it will be the largest in the history of Iraq.

Al-Shammari said, in an interview with the "After the Investigation" program broadcast by Alsumaria TV, that "the delay in approving the budget is the delay in sending the budget to Parliament," explaining that "the members of the House of Representatives are determined to continue their work to approve the budget as soon as it arrives from the government."

He added: "Their contracts from the Ministry of Interior and Defense and the National Security and Intelligence Service, in addition to the Awakening, numbered about 107 thousand, and 78 thousand of them were returned, and sums were allocated to them within the food security law at the limits of 300 billion, enough for them for one year," noting that "the next budget will be The largest in history[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]And up to 200 trillion dinars, because of the financial abundance and the high price of a barrel of oil, and I think that the budget will provide them with sufficient allocations.

Al-Shammari pointed out that "concerning the soldiers in the Ministry of the Interior who have certificates to transfer them to civil owners, the issue of their transfer took place within the framework of a law, and we submitted a request to the Minister of Interior to transfer them to civil owners, and there is no information about their inclusion in the current budget."

He continued, "As for the Ministry of Defense, they have a problem when converting them to civilians. Some of them were added to the military service, and some of them were not. We sent a letter to the concerned department, and we have not received any answer yet."
