    The Iraqi Stock Exchange announced, today, Sunday, that the banking sector is the most traded and valuable sector during the year 2022.
    And the market stated in a report that “the banking sector ranked first as the most traded sectors in the market in terms of shares and value during the year 2022 out of 8 sectors representing 103 joint-stock companies in the market,” noting that “the percentage of trading in shares traded in the banking sector, whose companies number 43 banks 92.8%, while the percentage of the financial value traded for the banking sector reached 66.9%, or 28% in terms of transactions.
    And she added, “The telecommunications sector, with only two companies, came second in the largest sectors in the market in terms of trading, as the shares traded in it for the year 2022 reached 1.6%, and the percentage of the financial value traded in it reached 13.1%, and the rate of 11.9% in terms of deals, and the industrial sector, which has 20 companies, comes third. Where the percentage of trading in shares reached 3.4%, while the percentage of the financial value traded for the sector reached 9%, and 32.8% in terms of executed deals. It has 3.2% and 5.7% in terms of executed deals.
    And she pointed out that “the service sector came fifth, with the number of its companies reaching 11 companies, and the trading of shares in it reached 0.8%, and the percentage of the financial value traded was 3.1%, and the percentage of 11.3% in terms of executed deals,” noting that “the agricultural sector comes sixth with the number of its companies amounting to 7 companies, as it reached The percentage of trading in shares is 0.7%, the percentage of the financial value traded in it is 4.5%, and the percentage of 9.8% in terms of executed deals. The financial investment sector comes seventh with the number of its companies amounting to 6 companies, as the percentage of shares traded in it reached 0.1%, and the percentage of the financial value traded in it amounted to 0.02% and the percentage of 0.1 % in terms of executed deals, and the insurance sector came eighth with the number of its companies amounting to 5 companies, as the percentage of the number of shares traded in it was 0.4%, the percentage of the financial value traded was 0.2%, and the percentage of 0.4% in terms of the executed deals.
