    Baghdad / Obelisk: The issuance of a summons order against the current Director General of the Investment Authority in Karbala reveals the spread of corruption, financial waste and mismanagement in the province's joints, as people demonstrate from time to time to protest the lack and deterioration of services.
    Al-Masalla Agency highlights the most prominent corruption operations in the governorate:
    The Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the issuance of a summons order against the current Director General of the Investment Commission in Karbala in the case related to his being the head of the record of estimating the sale allowance of the Karbala Cannery, pointing out that the estimate of the sale amount was much less than its true value with the intention of benefit of a person at the expense of the state.

    – Former Karbala Provincial Council member, Nasser Al-Khazali, revealed that the government complex project is lagging behind and will not see the light, and the current local government has not taken any action regarding it, which led to the disappearance of raw materials for it, and this is considered a waste of public money.
    – Representative Muhammad Jassim Al-Khafaji announced that a file of corruption in one of the residential complexes in Karbala and other files had been handed over to the Integrity and Public Prosecution Commission, indicating that we were prevented from entering the residential complex, which raises suspicions of corruption inside it.
    – Representative Nofout al-Moussawi revealed the existence of suspicions of corruption in the appointments of the Karbala refinery through the intervention of political parties in a shameful way to put pressure on the concerned authorities and run many lists without going through the announced mechanism, indicating that thousands of job opportunities within the refinery were shared between political parties.
    – The Federal Integrity Commission announced that public money was wasted in a private college after the college accounts department official signed fake loans and spent them in violation of the law, indicating that the accused committed financial and administrative violations that led to a waste of (1,390,000,000) billion dinars, pointing out that An amount of (121,896,000) million dinars has been recovered from those funds.
    – Integrity revealed that violations were monitored in the contract for supplying a medical device for Al-Hindiyah Hospital with an amount of (1,213,000,000) billion dinars, pointing out that the Contracts Department in the province contracted with one of the suppliers; For the purpose of supplying a helical measuring device, in violation of the terms of the contract.
    Integrity seized forged letters of support at Al-Rafidain Bank - Al-Abbas Branch, allegedly issued by the Water Directorate in the governorate. It was submitted by two of the directorate’s employees after they forged the signatures of the directorate of the directorate and the accounts and human resources directors; For the purpose of guaranteeing borrowers, indicating that in another operation, the wastage of an amount of (75,000,000) million dinars was prevented, after seizing the first forged book submitted by one of the accused Water Directorate employees to guarantee one of the borrowers addressed to the Housing Fund branch in the governorate.
    Integrity reported that the staff of the Karbala Investigation Office, which moved to the Middle Euphrates Quarries Directorate, revealed forged receipts for the purchase of materials for the filter sand factory in the Ain al-Tamr quarries of the Directorate, pointing out that this led to a waste of public money amounting to 134 million dinars.
    Integrity detected violations in referring the Al-Ukhaidir site for Space and Al-Raml Al-Maghsoul to a contracting company. For the purpose of investment, contrary to the investment contract concluded between Karbala Governorate and the Middle Euphrates Quarries Directorate in the governorate; This led to a waste of public money amounting to (99,473,000) million dinars.
    – The notary public in Karbala exceeded the limits of his job; This led to damage to the principal by more than 9 billion dinars, as the agency was issued by the first principal in which the second agent was authorized with powers outside the limits of his agency (the right to sell), without this right being vested in the first agent, who took advantage of the agency and sold his client’s shares in a securities company. finances in the said amount.
    Integrity revealed irregularities in granting two investment licenses in the Karbala Investment Commission, indicating that two licenses were granted to an investor. To implement a dairy and cheese factory, and another factory for the production of cups and plastic utensils for the investor, without allocating a plot of land for the two projects.
    – The deputy for Karbala, Nofout Al-Moussawi, revealed a waste of public money and corruption in the newly completed tiling project due to poor planning and coordination between the departments in the implementation of projects, indicating that the light signal was installed without operation and the intersection (Al-Mazaffen _ Al-Tahadi) intersection was closed with concrete blocks, and after less than Two days, the concerned departments begin to break the tiling and remove the newly implemented muqarnas from the sidewalks for the purpose of delivering services to the traffic light.
