    On Monday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the seizure of forged transactions to grant loans in a branch of the Agricultural Bank in Anbar Province.

    The Commission’s Investigation Department said in a statement, which “NAS” received a copy of, (February 6, 2023), that “the control team at the Anbar Investigation Office, which moved to the Agricultural Bank in Ramadi, managed, after conducting investigations, audits and follow-up, to seize (311) forged transactions.” for agricultural loans, the total amounts of which amounted to (8,610,000,000) dinars,” indicating that “these transactions were promoted and completed by the bank in cooperation with Ramadi Agriculture.”  
      
    The statement added, "The investigation proved that all transactions were promoted with forged documents of fictitious persons," pointing out that "the projects for which these loans were disbursed do not exist on the ground, which led to a waste of public money in the aforementioned amount."  
      
    He pointed out that "a fundamental report was drawn up on the operation, which was carried out according to a judicial arrest warrant, and it was presented, along with the criminal evidence, to the specialized investigative judge in the governorate to take the appropriate legal measures."
