    The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, on Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, the delegation of the Kurdistan Region, headed by Interior Minister Riber Ahmed and his accompanying delegation.

    A statement to the media of the Presidency of the Republic, of which "NAS" received a copy (February 12, 2023), stated that "during the meeting, they discussed political, security and economic developments, the file of the displaced in the country, and the need to unite efforts between the Iraqi forces to confront the challenges facing the country."  

    Rashid stressed, "The importance of continuing consultation and coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to reach real understandings that lead to radical solutions to outstanding issues based on the constitution, the law and the country's national interest." citizens' lives and livelihoods.  

    He pointed out that "the federal government and the regional government have the will and desire to resolve issues through understanding and dialogue between the two parties."  

    In turn, Reber Ahmed stressed, "The Kurdistan Regional Government's keenness to reach understandings and radical solutions to outstanding issues with the federal government, referring to the good relations between the two sides."  

    Ahmed appreciated "the position and efforts of the President of the Republic in converging points of view, and his role in resolving problems between political parties, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of security and stability in the country."
