Parliamentary reassurance that the allocations of the canceled contracts be included in the budget

Members of the army and security forces of all kinds, who failed to serve and whose contracts were terminated, aspire to approve the budget for the year 2023 in the hope that their financial allocations will be included in the forthcoming law.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mueen Al-Kazemi, stated to Al-Sabah that the draft budget law has not been received by the House of Representatives until now, and that everything announced in this regard confirms the inclusion of financial allocations for those whose contracts have been terminated within the Emergency Food Support Law in the year 2022, indicating that what was announced Previously, it includes allocating 30,000 job grades for those whose contracts have been terminated from the people of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Al-Kazemi added that there are thousands of grades allocated also to the army and the police, and it is assumed that there will be implementation of these decisions and that their implementation will be accurate without favoritism or circumventing decisions and those who deserve to return, noting that his committee will follow up on any file included in the budget and work on the basis of fairness to its owners.
The Ministry of Defense had announced the opening of the electronic form for the return of the children of the security forces whose contracts had been terminated for the purpose of applying for it and returning to service. Months after the announcement, lists of names of those included in the return were published, and all conditions were met for the purpose of conducting a medical examination.
For his part, a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Hussein Al-Amiri, told Al-Sabah: All those whose contracts have been terminated by the Ministries of Defense and Interior are covered by the return, and financial allocations have been fully provided to them.
Al-Amiri stressed that once the budget law is approved, they will be distributed according to the controls that were set in referring the large age groups of them to retirement and distributing the rest to the military sectors.

For his part, the military expert, Fadhel Abu Ragheef, confirmed to “Al-Sabah” that the return of their canceled contracts is extremely important, especially for the land and holding units that need a larger military presence than the current number.
Abu Ragheef stated that the need in the northern and western sectors is greater, especially with the recurring terrorist attacks on them from time to time, and that with their presence and return, the situation will be much better.
