FINANCE: INCLUSION OF LECTURERS’ ALLOCATIONS AND CONTRACTS IN THE 2022 BUDGET

"The Ministry of Finance has put the final touches on the budget law and has taken into account all the allocations," said Abdel-Hassan Jamal, an advisor to the Ministry of Finance, in a televised interview followed by the news agency.
He added that "the budget department confirmed several days ago the setting up of financial allocations for lecturers and contracts, but we are waiting for the next government, because the current government does not have the powers to submit draft laws to Parliament," noting that "the financial ceilings of the budget have not been determined once and for all, as oil prices have a role to play." Therefore, we must receive the oil prices proposed by the Ministry of Oil and the quantities of oil sold according to agreements with OPEC.”
Regarding the emergency support law, he explained that "the first law was stopped according to the decision of the Federal Court, and the current law is in the process of discussion," noting that "the law in general is very similar to the law that was suspended, but so far no financial ceilings have been set for this law."
He stressed that "this law will serve large segments of the population, and it is a very important law," expressing his hope that "it will follow the correct legal methods, so that it will not be challenged by future governments."
