US Ambassador Elena Romanovsky confirmed that environmental degradation and climate change affect the livelihoods of millions in Iraq.
Elena said in a tweet on Twitter, "Thank you to the Prime Minister for organizing the Iraq Climate Conference in Basra. Environmental degradation and climate change affect the livelihoods of millions in Iraq and the world."
"The United States supports the Iraqi government to take decisive climate action," she added.
