    The Ministry of Electricity formed a work cell to complete the electrical projects in Dhi Qar Governorate with the required speed and quality, at a time when the work on the project to build a 33 kV dual-circuit line from the Karmashi mobile network has been completed. 
    The proposed 132/33 kV supply to feed the Kermashya station is about 70 percent.
    Yesterday, the Deputy Governor of Dhi Qar, Engineer Rafie Al-Shami, discussed with the Minister of Electricity, Engineer Ziyad Ali in the province, the reality of electricity in the province and the increase in its processing hours.
    Al-Shami told Al-Sabah: The ministry decided to form a work cell for the governorate to complete projects related to the electricity sector within a specified period. 
    He pointed out that the meeting stressed the importance of establishing new generation stations and working to hold periodic meetings for the purpose of following up the electricity situation in Dhi Qar. 
    On the other hand, the Dhi Qar Electricity Distribution Branch announced that work is continuing on the project of constructing a 33 kV dual-circuit line from the proposed 132/33 kV mobile Karmashiya to feed the Karmashiya station under construction. 
    The branch manager, Eng. Abdel-Majeed Alaa, confirmed to Al-Sabah that the work is continuing and proceeding at an escalating pace by the United Emirate Company executing the project at the expense of the regions development plan for previous years. 
    He added that the project works include the construction of a 33 kV dual-circuit high-voltage line, towers with a length of 2700 meters, with eighteen towers, in addition to the construction of a 33 kV ground cable line.
    He explained that the completion rate of the project has reached 70%, and it is hoped that the work will be completed within the specified period, with the aim of removing bottlenecks in the electrical network in the governorate.
