    Today, Tuesday, the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament called on the regional government to send the budget law to the Kurdistan Parliament, as is the case with the central government.
    Committee member Nermin Maarouf said in a statement to the Kurdish media, "The budget for the year 2023 is the highest in the history of Iraq, with a cash value that exceeds 199 trillion dinars (about 140 billion dollars), and once it is approved, all economic and living joints that concern the citizen will revive."
    She added, "The Kurdistan region's share of it was set at 12.67%, or more than 15 trillion dinars, and it is of paramount importance in re-operating investment projects, providing job opportunities, overcoming the problem of delay in distributing salaries, and overcoming the consequences and effects of the economic crisis that has been facing the region for years."
    And she emphasized that “the regional government must send a draft budget law to the Kurdistan Parliament, as is the case with the central government, to protect the entitlements of groups and classes of society in the budget and distribute them fairly and equitably,” stressing “the need to reorganize the revenues and expenditures of the regional government within the budget law under the dome of the region’s parliament.” ".
