    The Ministry of Commerce announced, on Friday, the launch of electronic applications to correct the ration card problems.

    A statement by the ministry stated, "In implementation of the paragraphs of the government program by implementing the poverty alleviation strategy by targeting the eligible segments of the ration system, the Planning and Follow-up Department, in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Program, announces the launch of electronic applications for the ration card automation project."

    The statement added, "The department worked on a project to automate the ration card through the issuance of the electronic ration card, and the issuance of electronic applications related to it to find out the real numbers of beneficiaries from the ration card system, in order to correct them to the groups of society who are eligible for it and from the middle and poor classes."

    The statement stressed that the applications include "self-blocking, which is one of the activities of the program on the Google site to be available to all," calling on all citizens who benefited from the items of the food basket and flour in an "illegal way" to "cooperate and expedite the blocking of their share through this application." .

    And the statement continued, "Citizens who do not need the items of the food basket and flour material can also cooperate by entering the application and withholding their share for the purpose of directing it to poor families to benefit from it," noting that "the reporting period for citizens who benefit from the items of the food basket and flour material is contrary to the instructions." It is considered an amnesty period, so they should hurry up and use it to serve the public interest.”
