The Minister of Oil stresses the economic importance of the Karbala refinery, with a capacity of (140) thousand barrels per day

{Economic: Al Furat News} Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani stressed today, Saturday, the economic importance of the Karbala refinery, with a capacity of (140) thousand barrels per day.
And his media office stated in a statement received by {Euphrates News}, that "the latter received the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, the head and members of a coalition of Korean companies led by Hyundai, in the presence of the general manager of the Oil Projects Company, and the general manager of the Central Refineries Company."
The statement added, "The minister listened to a briefing by a representative of a coalition of Korean companies about plans to gradually increase production to reach design capacities, according to the planned timing."
And he stressed, "During the meeting, the importance of training workers from national companies, to fully manage the production process in the refinery, by benefiting from international experience and advanced technology in the refining industry."
He stressed, "the economic importance of the Karbala refinery, with a capacity of (140) thousand barrels per day, and its contribution to meeting a large part of the local need, of oil products of high quality.
