    Today, Thursday, the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives announced the start of scrutinizing the items and schedules contained in the Federal Budget Law.

    A statement of the committee, received by Alsumaria News, stated that "the sub-committees of the Finance Committee met to study and add items to the budget and amend it, and to study the details of the allocations of the spending agencies and the schedules included in the federal budget for the fiscal years 2023-2024-2025, and to check the details of the numbers received, on Thursday 11 /5/2023".



    The committee stressed, "the need to determine how to spend according to the needs of the institutions, and to manage the funds in order to determine the sources and priorities in the implementation of projects that meet the needs of the state."

    The Special Committee for the Items prepared “the texts that it intends to add to the budget items and to define ideas and visions related to the areas of taxes and fees for the purchase of imported improved gasoline so that the amounts are returned to the state treasury after selling it, in addition to the file of fees for mobile phone companies, the tax for topping up the balance and fees for social networks, and obligating the ministries of electricity Communications, reconstruction, and the authorities concerned with imposing fees and levies, and all spending units are evaluated in collecting revenues to preserve public money, in addition to the criteria for estimating the purchase of real estate.

    The Special Committee also, according to the statement, "studying the tables by analyzing the financial figures and checking the detailed data regarding the amounts of service and commodity supplies, special programs, contributions, and the government program; for the possibility of making transfers between the exchange chapters according to the need of the spending units and according to economic feasibility, as well as the financial amounts Contracts for some ministries and central funding, in order to support projects in the provinces, social welfare and productive companies.

    And the Finance Committee announced, "It will continue to hold meetings until reaching the optimal formulation in amending paragraphs and items to achieve the specific goals of enhancing financial stability and development."
