The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, and the Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Kamal Muhammad, discussed the treatment of legal problems related to the oil companies operating in Kurdistan. A statement received by Al-Zaman yesterday said that (Zaidan received in his office the Minister of Natural Resources in the region and his accompanying delegation, and during the meeting they discussed dealing with the legal problems related to the oil companies operating in Kurdistan). The statement added that (Zaidan also met with the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, and they discussed, during the meeting that brought them together in Baghdad, the legal measures for cooperation between the judiciary and the authority). And the Ministry of Oil achieved more than 7 billion dollars in revenue from the sale of crude oil during last April. A statement received by Al-Zaman yesterday said that (the total exports of crude oil for the month of April amounted to 98 million 634 thousand and 947 barrels, with revenues amounting to 7 billion 699 million and 272 thousand dollars), and added that (the total quantities exported from the oil fields in central and southern Iraq It amounted to 98 million 634 thousand and 947 barrels), and he indicated that (the average price of one barrel amounted to 78,058 dollars), and pointed out that (the exported quantities were loaded by 36 international companies of several nationalities, from the ports of Basra and Khor al-Amaya and the mono-buoys on the Gulf and the port of Cihan al-Turki and the Modern Warehouse of Kirkuk). In Erbil, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, confirmed that attempts to violate the constitutional rights of the region are totally unacceptable. The correct solution to the problems and crises in Iraq is to abide by the agreements and understandings between the political parties in general and the parties of the State Administration Coalition in particular. For his part, the head of the regional government, Masrour Barzani, pledged to university graduates to provide loans and material support in the future. In a speech on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony of the fifth batch of university students, he said that he is "determined to transform Kurdistan into a nation of knowledge, and is fully confident that those who choose to pursue their studies abroad will find a convincing reason to return home upon completion of their education."
