    Kurdish politician Rebin Salam said today, Monday (September 11, 2023), that the Kurdistan Region has the right to file a judicial complaint with international courts against the Iraqi government, while pointing out that oil companies in the region have begun to gather their strength to register the lawsuit.
    Tension hangs over the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil, not starting with the Kirkuk crisis and not ending with the delay in sending the region’s budget dues, while tense messages exchanged between Baghdad and Erbil began, in what appears to be an early abortion of the political agreement between the Sudanese government and Kurdistan, before its implementation even begins.
    Salam stated in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the Iraqi constitution allows any individual, region, or institution to file a complaint in international courts against the federal government or any other party.”
    He added, "Foreign companies working in the oil field in the Kurdistan region have begun to gather their strength to register a lawsuit against the Iraqi government with the international judiciary because they have been harmed by its recent measures."
    Salam pointed out, “The region can register a complaint against Baghdad and it has the right legally and constitutionally, and this is the most appropriate solution in light of the political exploitation of the judiciary.”
    Erbil began to accuse Baghdad of "renouncing" the political agreement. In return, Baghdad confirmed, through advisors and government spokesmen, that it was Erbil that did not commit to implementing its obligations, speaking about the necessity of adhering to the constitution.
    In another matter, political affairs expert Kazem Al-Hajj said today, Monday (September 11, 2023), that the Iraqi government rejects any external interference to resolve disputes with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
    Al-Hajj stated in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the Kurdistan region’s resort to an external party regarding resolving its financial disputes with the Iraqi government is very unlikely, especially since the international position is with strengthening Baghdad and not weakening it, and the Iraqi government rejects any external interference to resolve the disputes with the Iraqi government.” Regional Government.
    He added, "The Iraqi government deals with the Kurdistan Regional Government in accordance with the Iraqi Constitution, and it cannot bypass this matter due to any internal or external pressures. Therefore, the Kurdistan Region will be obligated to pay the oil and non-oil revenues it owes to Baghdad to resolve disputes. Otherwise, it will "The dispute continues without any solutions."
    Representative Shirwan Al-Dobardani, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party parliamentary bloc, had warned earlier that the failure of some parties within the coordination framework and the state administration coalition to adhere to the political agreement that came with the Sudanese government would lead us to a dead end.
