    Baghdad Today - translation
Late Sunday, the Atlantic Council political organization published a report in which it talked about the "challenges" currently facing the Iraqi regime, declaring that calls for a "presidential system" instead of the current ministerial system will not lead to achieving the required results.
The council said, according to the report translated by (Baghdad Today), that Iraq's current problem with regard to the spread of administrative corruption is a problem that can be solved through "an active civil society and politicians who are able to put the public interest at the expense of private interests," stressing that the demands for the transition to a presidential system Continuing these two problems will not lead to the desired results.
And she continued, "There are those who also criticize the Iraqi constitution in its current form, but the reality is that the constitution is very suitable for Iraq, especially after the approval of the Parties Law in 2015, which provided the necessary tools for the entry of new political parties into the democratic process, which enables civil society and its organizations to monitor the state's performance effectively and participate." actually in the political process.
With regard to the Iraqi parliament, the organization has confirmed that it is capable of achieving great achievements despite the current challenges, the most important of which is the spread of sectarian and sectarian power-sharing and political dispersion, calling on the international community to "support civil society organizations in Iraq to ensure that they reduce the effects of these problems."
The organization also pointed out the need for "the international community to invest effectively in Iraq's future leaders," stressing that "the United States and European Union countries must work to develop the capabilities of Iraqi youth and strengthen their role in society, as they are the group that will shape the future of Iraq," according to its description.
