A member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Waad Al-Quddo, confirmed, on Tuesday, that he presented a road map to end the oil smuggling file in the second largest province in Iraq.
In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Al-Quddo said, "Oil smuggling in Nineveh is a fact that no one disputes about, and some officers in the security establishment were involved through small whales, pointing out that he" presented a roadmap to the Ministry of Interior in order to end this scourge.
He added, "The danger of oil smuggling is harming the national economy, not to mention its negative repercussions," noting that "ending smuggling will support stability and reveal at the same time corruption, which is no less dangerous than terrorism."
He pointed out that "the Sudanese government has already developed a comprehensive strategy to end the smuggling file and succeeded in striking its most important networks, and we hope that there will be greater efforts in Nino very soon."
Oil smuggling is one of the very complex files at a time when the government is making efforts in this direction that resulted months ago in dismantling the most dangerous network in Iraq in which senior officers were involved.
