     Information / Baghdad...
Oil affairs expert Salah al-Moussawi confirmed on Sunday that large quantities of oil continue to be smuggled through the Kurdistan region despite the suspension of the Ceyhan pipeline, indicating that billions of dollars are being swallowed in Kurdistan by the whales of corruption.

Al-Moussawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The file of oil production in the Kurdistan region should be disclosed to Iraqi public opinion, especially since the authorities are talking about producing 200,000, but the truth is 1.200,000 barrels per day.”
He added, "The bulk of the Kurdistan region's production goes to oil refineries, but another part is smuggled to some neighboring countries via tankers."
He pointed out that "oil smuggling harmed Iraqi national interests and harmed the economy because the money collected from Kurdistan goes directly into the pockets of corrupt people." Ended 25 February
