{Politics: Al-Furat News} Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of activating parliamentary friendship committees, and coordinating positions in international forums regarding regional issues..
And his media office stated in a statement received by {Euphrates News} that "the latter received, in separate meetings, both the Palestinian ambassador, Ahmed Aqel, the Algerian ambassador, Jihad al-Din Belkas, and the Turkish ambassador, Ali Reza Konay. The meetings discussed bilateral relations, and strengthening cooperation between Iraq and its brothers and neighbors in all fields. In a way that serves the interests of the people.”
Al-Halbousi stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of activating parliamentary friendship committees, and coordinating positions in international forums regarding regional issues."
The meetings also discussed developments in the region and a number of issues of common interest.
