As soon as you arrive in Anbar Province, and to the city of Fallujah in particular, you will see "tall" palaces, "giant" houses, and a fleet of "luxury" cars, as if you were in a foreign city, such as as Paris or London, but you will realize well that this "huge wealth" belongs to one person. He is the Speaker of Parliament.
Many questions and signs of astonishment, both political and popular, haunt the revolution of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi. Although the head of the legislative authority did not take long to enter the field of politics, he was able, in less than 8 years, to destroy the budgets of entire countries.
Opinions differed about the sources of this wealth and its financing destinations, which necessitated an increase in appeals and requests to disclose it, especially since al-Halbousi, during his presidency of Parliament during two sessions, never presented his financial liabilities, which may confirm the accusations against him.
Member of the House of Representatives, Rafik al-Salihi, called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, to disclose his financial liabilities, while stressing the need to activate the law “Where did you get this from?” To find out the level of corruption that took place during the previous sessions.
Al-Salhi said in an interview with the information agency, "The three presidencies, members of the House of Representatives, and higher ranks, such as ministers and general managers, are required to disclose their financial liabilities."
And he affirmed: “The law (where did you get this from) must be activated, in order to stand on the level of corruption that took place during the previous sessions and years, including officials and deputies, in addition to the three presidencies. "
However, Saleh said, "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi is required to disclose his financial situation as a representative of the people and the head of the legislative authority, and it is the priority for him to implement the law."
And Al-Salihi clarifies: “If the Speaker of Parliament finds any file, it will be opened before the federal judiciary and integrity,” calling for “the formation of a committee to follow up and hold accountable all officials who have huge and visible funds.” .”
In turn, the leader of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Muhammad al-Dahham, called on the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, to implement legal measures related to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, while stressing that the intelligence service must adopt the file of external support for the Speaker of Parliament.
And the leader of the coalition, Muhammad Dahham, stated in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, that "the support provided to the Speaker of Parliament in case it was external, this is a state security file, and the National Security and Intelligence Service must adopt it.”
And he shows: "In the case of internal support, we have the Oversight Authority and the Integrity Committee, and they are responsible for following up the money of officials, whatever their positions," pointing out that "the state knows very well what is being managed in its institutions.”
In addition, a member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ahmed Al-Zalmi, revealed the sources of the huge wealth owned by Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi.
Al-Zalimi confirms in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that "the main sources behind Al-Halbousi's huge wealth are many, most notably the external support provided by the Gulf countries, such as the UAE and Qatar, in addition to Turkey." "
He points out that "the other source is the suspicious political and economic deals held and managed by the Speaker of Parliament in the western provinces, especially Anbar, which could cover up the external support provided to him."
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance states, “The policies practiced by al-Halbousi, such as silencing mouths, confiscating freedoms, and intimidation, which were exposed and focused on by one of the national figures in Anbar Governorate, Sattam Abu Risha, indicate and confirm the existence of major corruption deals in the province that are managed by foreign countries through his mediation.”
He explains that "all ways for the Speaker of the House of Representatives are available to him to exploit political money through his presence in the presidency and use it for his own interests," noting that "these resources are very sufficient to demonstrate and clarify Al -Halbousi's enormous wealth."
The wealth of Iraq's politicians and the huge sums reveal one fact, which is that presidents and politicians are in one world and the Iraqi people are in another world, especially since they have tasted both as a result of the circumstances they went through during the previous 20 years. Ended / 25r
