Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clarification regarding video clips of a number of kidnapped Iraqis in Iran.
The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, told the official agency, "Some social networking sites published videos of a number of kidnapped Iraqis in Iran near the Iranian-Turkish border, and they were released in exchange for sums of money by the kidnappers," noting that "the video clips date back to a kidnapping a month ago."
