Al-Halbousi’s office: The Integrity Commission law will reach Parliament soon

{Politics: Al-Furat News} Today, Sunday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Integrity Commission and the advanced staff in the Commission, in the presence of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee.
A statement from Al-Halbousi’s office, a copy of which was received by {Al-Furat News}, stated, “The meeting discussed the Integrity Commission’s work mechanism, reviewing the progress of its work and its latest activities, and ways to overcome obstacles that contribute to strengthening its oversight role, and coordination between the Parliamentary Integrity Committee and the Commission, in addition to a number of files discussed.” The meeting, which needs to be followed up by the Authority.”
The statement added, "The meeting also discussed the importance of proceeding with the necessary amendments to the effective Integrity Commission law, which will soon reach the House of Representatives, which will support anti-corruption measures, support the work of the Commission, activate its tools, and increase its capabilities in carrying out the tasks entrusted to it."
