    [size=45]The representative of Sulaymaniyah Governorate in the Iraqi House of Representatives, Briar Rashid, announced the completion of approvals for opening an office for the Central Bank of Iraq in Sulaymaniyah Governorate to facilitate financial procedures for citizens and merchants, while he complained of a delay in granting the green light to open the office, holding Baghdad and the regional government responsible.[/size]
    [size=45]Member of the Iraqi Parliament, Briar Rashid, said during a press conference held in the office of the Iraqi Parliament in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, “All procedures for opening a branch of the Rafidain Bank in Sulaymaniyah have been completed in accordance with legal procedures, but unfortunately the Iraqi government has not yet granted permission to open the branch,” pointing to “The regional government also bears part of the responsibility because it must have more coordination with the Iraqi government to complete the procedures for the opening after the approval of the Director General of Rafidain Bank and the Ministry of Finance.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "We did what we could to include the citizens of Sulaymaniyah with all the financial privileges granted by the Central Bank of Iraq to citizens and merchants in the rest of the Iraqi governorates, including granting advances and financial facilities to merchants and investors and replacing damaged and burned currency, and we began the steps to obtain approval to open a branch of the Central Bank of Iraq in Sulaymaniyah Governorate."[/size]
    [size=45]He stated that, “On August 13, an official request was submitted through the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament to the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq to open the branch, and on August 17, verbal approval was obtained from the Governor, and on August 22, an official order was issued to open an office for the Central Bank of Iraq.” In Sulaymaniyah.”[/size]
    [size=45]He explained that “now the regional government and the local government of Sulaymaniyah must facilitate all procedures for opening the office in Sulaymaniyah,” stressing that “the place has been allocated for the office, and yesterday the place was visited and it became clear that it is suitable.[/size]
