    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Planning detailed the most prominent aspects of government support to provide housing for poor families, while indicating the existence of policies and treatments for the phenomenon of random housing in Iraq.
    The Ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement followed by the “Information” agency, “The Ministry of Planning, within the framework of implementing what was stated in the poverty alleviation strategy in Iraq within the housing outcome, worked during previous years to establish a group of residential complexes in a number of governorates.” ".
    Al-Hindawi added, "Some of these complexes have been completed and distributed free of charge to poor families in the governorates of Wasit, Muthanna, Diwaniyah, Kirkuk, and Anbar," stressing that "there are other residential complexes in the process of being implemented."

    He pointed out that “among the government’s directives is also a fund to support the poorest areas, which includes a share for housing for the poor, and there is also a trend within the new residential complexes and cities for a share of these housing units to be given to poor families according to what has been confirmed in the implementation contracts by the Ministry of Housing and Construction and municipalities and under direct guidance.” By the Prime Minister.
    He continued, "The Prime Minister's directives always emphasize taking into account the conditions of poor families and striving to provide housing for them."
    He concluded by saying: "There are also policies and treatments for the phenomenon of slum housing, as these slums are inhabited by poor families who need support, care, and the provision of decent housing for them."
