    , on Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023, the Turkish authorities launched a simultaneous security operation in 18 states in the country, against cells affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is classified as a terrorist organization, following the armed attack it witnessed. The Turkish capital, Ankara, last Sunday, at the headquarters of the Security Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.

According to the Anatolia Agency, Taşkin joined the organization in 1988, and he is the planner responsible for the terrorist attack in the Daglica region of Hakkari Province (south of ) in 2007.

    Taşkin caused the death of 12 Turkish soldiers and injured 16 in Daglica in 2007, and works in the ranks of the PKK in Iraq and Syria.

    This is the first attack claimed by the party since September 2022, when it killed a policeman in Mersin (south).

    Following the attack, the Turkish army launched air strikes in northern Iraq and announced that it had destroyed 20 targets for the Workers' Party.

    Ankara witnessed several violent attacks between 2015 and 2016, claimed by Kurdish separatists in the Kurdistan Workers' Party or ISIS.
