Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Iraqi sources said that Washington warned Baghdad against the interference of Iraqi armed factions in the Gaza war and that it would be subjected to severe sanctions if that happened, while digital windows that adopt the discourse of the Iraqi factions reveal the formation of operations rooms with Hamas in areas close to the conflict.
There is even news about Iraqi volunteers from the factions in confrontations with Israel.
Since the outbreak of the conflict in Gaza, several Iraqi factions have threatened that they will engage in a “total war” against Israel if America intervenes “directly” in the war, or if Israel invades Gaza.
Political observers who have been contacted by Al-Masala report that the opportunity for the Iraqi factions to participate in the Gaza war is possible due to the strong relations between the Iraqi factions and the Hamas movement, which has provided them with military and material support on many occasions.
The Iraqi factions possess significant military capabilities, including missiles and drones.
Iran openly supports Hamas, and may support sending Iraqi factions to Gaza to participate in the fighting.
There are some possible scenarios for the Iraqi factions to participate in the Gaza war, including participating in the fighting directly, by sending their members to Gaza to fight alongside the Hamas movement, or participating indirectly, by providing the Hamas movement with weapons and logistical support.
