Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities clarified the details of the Baghdad-Diyala entrance road rehabilitation project, while indicating that advanced completion rates have been achieved.
A statement from the ministry received by Al-Iqtisad News stated, “The length of the road is about (10) km, and extends from the area of Bob Al-Sham Arch to the Muhammad Al-Sakran intersection, where it was widened from (10) m to (16) m, for the two-way lanes, with Implementing a service road on both sides of the two corridors with a width of (8) metres, in which the work included laying the three asphalt layers, furnishing it with protective fences, planning, and guidance and warning signs, in addition to constructing (3) vehicle bridges, two pedestrian bridges, and the entrance to Al-Intisar village.
He added, "Work on the project is proceeding at an increasing pace, with the removal of the obstacles, the sweeping of the main road to adjust the lateral inclinations, and the preparation for covering it with the final layer improved with polymer, while the concrete work for the bridges has been completed and the work for the approaches to the three bridges is continuing, with the use of ready-made concrete pieces for the walls of the slopes to give an aesthetic architectural view to the bridges." .
