    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Wednesday (November 15, 2023), Secretary-General of the Bayraq Al-Khair Gathering, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, raised question marks about the armed factions attacking American bases.
Al-Khalidi said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “what is happening in Gaza is a genocidal war against a people who have been struggling to liberate their land for 70 years, and all Western countries, including America, are involved in the conflict in various ways, including supplying the occupation with weapons and equipment and not taking any steps to stop it.” The war occurred despite the fall of nearly 35,000 casualties, including martyrs and wounded.
He added, "During the past weeks, the names of armed factions have emerged in the Iraqi arena that are bombing the military bases where American forces are deployed. They are unknown factions and nothing is known about them," pointing out that "what is happening represents an embarrassment to the government, and it also irritates many people." "Question marks are about the identity of these factions and what their goals are."
He pointed out that "the entry of third parties into the Iraqi scene means turning it into an arena of conflicts and tension and causing severe harm to everyone," stressing that "the Palestinian issue is the issue of the Iraqis, but pressure to stop the war must be through the Arab League and the United Nations."
For nearly a month, armed factions have been raining missiles and suicide drones on the Iraqi bases shared between them and the American forces, under the title of “Islamic resistance in Iraq” and other names that surfaced after the events in Gaza, without declaring their nature, strength, and locations, but they are accepted. Among certain political circles, according to observers.
