     Information / Baghdad..
On Tuesday, Representative Baqir Al-Saadi revealed the government’s plan to increase housing loans by 20% during 2024.

Al-Saadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The government has adopted a road map from several points to strengthen the housing file in the country to confront a worsening crisis in major cities, including the capital, Baghdad, by increasing investment projects, whether private or government, in addition to increasing the number of people covered by housing loans.”
He added, "The increase in the number of those included may reach 20% during 2024 compared to 2023 as part of efforts being made to make room for the largest possible number of segments who meet the conditions for granting government housing loans with limited interest."
He pointed out that "increasing the loans and the number of people covered by them has economic dimensions in providing more job opportunities and reviving the economy because the housing sector is wide and diverse and is an important link in the labor market across Iraq."
Iraq has been suffering from a stifling housing crisis in recent years, especially in Baghdad, which necessitated developing a road map to provide thousands of new units. Ended 25 February
