An official source in Anbar Governorate revealed, on Monday, that the ousted President Muhammad al-Halbousi was being secretly investigated in a judicial institution in Baghdad.

The source said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The ousted President Muhammad al-Halbousi was subjected to investigations in one of the judicial institutions in Baghdad, in secret, to look into the complaints submitted against him with evidence, as the interrogation and investigation process continued for about 4 hours.”
He added, "The ousted President Muhammad al-Halbousi answered most of the questions, after which the investigating judge ordered his release on bail and prevented him from traveling outside Iraq until the investigations were completed."
He pointed out that "Al-Halbousi is still wanted by the judiciary until the completion of the rest of some paragraphs that require a comprehensive investigation before deciding on the ruling, and that he is subject to appearing before the competent courts if he is summoned."
The source pointed out, “The administration of Iraq’s airports, including the Kurdistan region, was informed of the ban on Al-Halbousi’s travel outside the country without the approval of the central government.” End / 12A
