On Wednesday, the leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Uday Abdul Hadi, revealed the presence of American pressure to change the compass of justice in the Al-Halbousi case.

Abdul Hadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The decision to terminate Muhammad Al-Halbousi’s membership is purely judicial and came according to legal paths from the highest court in Iraq,” pointing out that “attempting to cast doubt on the decision is a grave mistake.”
He added, "There is indeed American pressure that has taken multiple paths in an attempt to change the compass of justice in the case of terminating Al-Halbousi's membership, but we believe in the solidity of the Iraqi judiciary's position in rejecting any pressure because it represents a beacon of trust for all the people of the country."
He pointed out that "any delay in deciding Al-Halbousi's replacement will lead to problems, especially since the arena for foreign interventions is expanding in light of the attempts of many parties to turn back the clock."
The Sunni forces presented 5 names of candidates for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives last week in order to present them in the nearest voting session.
