    {Local: Al-Furat News} The Ministry of Commerce announced today, Thursday, the opening of special sales outlets that allow those covered by social welfare to shop at cost and instalments.

    The spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muthanna Jabbar, said in a press statement: “A meeting was held under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, between the ministry and the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Chairman of the Social Welfare Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, during which an agreement was reached under the auspices of the Prime Minister.” It stipulates that the (9) million people covered by social welfare will have special sales outlets that provide them with food and durable goods at cost without profits, according to special cards.
    He added, "The agreement included another offer stipulating the shopping for food and durable goods that families covered by social care need in (installments) with a value of up to 100 thousand dinars or more," explaining, "Those included shop for 100 thousand dinars and pay 10 thousand dinars." One dinar only, and then the remaining amount is paid in installments through the care salary or other resources.”
    Jabbar confirmed that “the initial agreement was reached, and the included data and numbers were taken, and priority will be for people of determination and disability and orphans,” indicating that “people of determination and disability registered with social care and who have IDs number 228 thousand families, orphans are more than 10 thousand individuals, and families have no income.” About 1 million.
