    A statement by the media department of the Presidency of the Republic, a copy of which was received by Al-Furat News, stated, “The Presidency of the Republic declares its full support for the measures taken by the government to establish security and stability and prevent acts and operations outside the law targeting diplomatic missions and Iraqi government institutions that aim to stabilize the country, infringe on Iraq’s sovereignty, and distort His image before the international community.”
    He added, "The Presidency supports the security measures and plans taken recently, including holding accountable all security forces responsible for the security sector in the area where the attack occurred. We would like to clarify that the aforementioned presidential regiment has been under the command of the Third Brigade of the Federal Police since 2015."
    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yahya Rasoul, announced yesterday that the security services were able to identify those who targeted the American embassy on the seventh of this month. Pointing out that “preliminary information showed that some of them are connected to some security services.”
