    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Thursday (December 21, 2023), Member of the House of Representatives, Hassan Salem, criticized the decision to appoint the Director General of the General Company for Ports of Iraq as Director General on behalf of the agency, while describing the decision as “a coup de grace for the ports.”
Salem said in a blog post on the “X” platform, viewed by “Baghdad Today,” that “the appointment of the Director General of Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, is a wrong step and is not compatible with the government’s anti-corruption program.”
Salem considered this to be "a mercy shot on Iraqi ports and the end of Al-Faw port."
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Council of Ministers voted to confirm 41 general directors from various ministers, including the general director of ports, after receiving a positive evaluation.
