Member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Ali Nimah, called on Friday for an emergency session of the House of Representatives to be held to discuss the crime of bombing a headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in central Baquba.
In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Nimah said, “The American aircraft bombed the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the center of Baquba yesterday, and the fall of martyrs is a reprehensible crime and a violation of national sovereignty,” stressing that “this American arrogance, which we have only known through methods of attacks, did not take into account the sanctity of lives, bloodshed, and intimidation.” "Innocent people are innocent in this brutal image and in great disdain for the fully sovereign Iraqi state."
He added, "The assassination of leaders in broad daylight calls for a national stance by holding an emergency session of the House of Representatives in order to discuss the repercussions of the crime and to demand that the Iraqi government assume its full responsibility in protecting the country's land, people, and sanctities from repeated American attacks and the immediate removal of all coalition combat forces from Iraq, which has become “Its existence is intended to violate and barbarize the security and safety of the Iraqi people and their national sovereignty.”
He pointed out that "America is a threat to Iraq's security and safety, as it wages war on an official regular force from time to time, which leads to martyrs and wounded."
