The Parliamentary Planning Committee is preparing, during the next few days and after the end of the legislative recess, to begin its work in evaluating the work of the ministries through the hosting it has made for each ministry, after which the bodies and governors will be evaluated. Committee member Souad Al-Maliki said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “The committee is still in preliminary discussions to evaluate the ministries, as the meeting took place during the previous semester with the ministries, and there were many discussions, but the committee did not issue its final evaluations,” explaining that “ The coming days will witness a final evaluation of the work of the ministries, and then the committee will begin its work in evaluating the bodies and governors.”
She revealed that “the initial evaluation of the government’s performance was 70%,” adding that “the final evaluation has not yet been issued, but by hosting the ministers we noticed that there are ministries that are good at their work and others that are lagging behind.”
Al-Maliki added, “There will be a summons for the old governors, and their performance for the first half of the year will be evaluated, and the governorate’s work during that period will be reviewed,” indicating that “the evaluation will not exclude anyone and will be based on the governorate’s work and the services it provided, in addition to reviewing the needs that can be met.” Parliament may submit it.
