The Arab League held Iran accountable for all consequences of the attack on the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The Arab foreign ministers affirmed their rejection of all Iranian pretexts to justify the bombing.

According to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the League held Iran "all the consequences of this violation and what resulted from it, considering it a dangerous precedent whose repetition may completely disturb peace and security in the region."

The League also affirmed "the unity and sovereignty of Iraqi territory against any external aggression or violation, and the right of Iraq, as a founding member of the League of Arab States and a member of the United Nations, to resort to all diplomatic and legal means guaranteed by international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the Charter of the League of Arab States in responding to... These violations.

On Tuesday, Erbil, in northern Iraq, was bombarded with ballistic missiles, after which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had targeted what it described as “spy centers,” while the Iraqi Foreign Ministry considered, in its first official comment, that the Iraqi government considered this behavior an aggression against the country’s sovereignty.

Today, Wednesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Iraq had submitted a complaint against Iran to the UN Security Council and the United Nations after the bombing that targeted Erbil.
