Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Mudar Al-Karawi, acknowledged on Saturday that the 2024 projects will provide no less than 60,000 job opportunities in Iraq.
Al-Karawi said in an interview followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “900-1,000 projects will be launched during 2024 throughout the country’s governorates in 16 main sectors, most notably basic services, according to an ambitious plan adopted by the government in order to enhance the service dimension, which has been suffering from accumulations for many years.”
He added, "The 2024 projects will provide no less than 60,000 job opportunities in Iraq in various fields, and this matter has several positives, most notably reducing unemployment, reviving markets, and pushing economic activity to a higher level, especially stagnation in some areas."
He pointed out that "the demand for investment projects in Iraq has increased by more than 10%, and this is a positive matter that will create strong competition, especially in the housing and service infrastructure file."
